Very disappointing and misleading promotional labelling. There was a “3-pack for 50% of the price” promotion displayed next to Diekirch 0.0%. The normal price was slightly over €7 per pack, so three packs should have cost around €11 after the advertised discount. However, I was charged the full price of approximately €22. When I raised the issue, the first employee agreed that I was right. After checking with another member of staff, I was then told that the promotion applied only to the cans placed above, even though it was the same drink, with the same name and alcohol-free version. There was no clear information stating that the offer was limited to cans or excluding bottles. A promotion should be presented clearly and should not require customers to discover the conditions only after paying. The amount is not the main issue: the issue is that this type of unclear labelling can mislead many customers who may never notice the incorrect price on their receipt. Very poor practice, especially from a supermarket that positions itself as a higher-end retailer.

Tem um colaborador do caixa, que é uma pessoa muito desagradável, sempre muito rude, principalmente com os idosos, fala sempre com muita falta de educação, é um Português, pessoa realmente insuportável, todos os outros funcionários são maravilhosos, essa pessoa não deveria está trabalhando no caixa em atendimento ao público, deveria está afastado da sociedade.

I would not be shocked to have my bag searched in France, but in Luxembourg in Cactus? Fall from grace. I go to Cactus and pay premium for a good treatment, not to have my privacy invaded. If you are experiencing theft, simply put cameras or anti-theft system in your store. Disrespectful. Shame how low Luxembourg has become.

Premium price for a never ending decreasing quality. Beggers are filling the parking lot, making it extremely unsafe and giving it a very bad image, but their security is too busy stopping regular customers that come almost daily to ""check"" their bags (barely a look) while exposing them and insulting them as stealers. The quality of fresh fruits and veggies are decreasing too. The only shop we had to come multiple time to return "fresh" producuts because quality control seems inexistant there. Workers started to get more and more rude, and they stopped speaking luxembourgish. You think you pay a premium to support local economy and luxembourgish-speaking workers but turns out they are just frontalier like any other competitors shop too. After coming there for 30 years (my whole life), I'm done spending my hard earned money and will gladly walk 100m away to go to discount and cheaper super market where you don't get constantly searched and insulted for spending your money there. Competition will kill Cactus, they are cheaper, and I won't miss it thanks to the recent extremely bad experience.

Been shopping here for 25 years. Product choices have improved a lot including a fantastic fish section (no need to go to Belle Etoile) and a better bakery (baguette a l’ancienne is a favorite). You’ll find most of the things you need here. Returns are also easy in case you made a mistake with your purchases. If covered by a warranty, they will try to fix appliances or electronics. However, from experience, Cactus will just replace it. Period. I’ve had an iron and smoothie maker replaced because repairing them would have been too costly (probably). The personnel is friendly. On the downside, prices are higher compared to discount stores, ofc. However, they often have weekly promos, their prices are better compared to the discount stores. The trick is to buy what is on promotion or sale. Update: I have to say that the cashiers here are working at a snail’s pace. Their express lane is anything but fast. Compare them to the competition - discount stores and it’s day and night. If you’re in a hurry, you’re gonna lose so much time. Their slow pace is testing a customer’s patience to the point that the person in front of me said to the young man’s face that he should find another job as this job is not for him. To which he replied with a blank stare. Lol. Cactus should also put self service kiosks which are way faster than having your items scanned by a cashier. Move with the times, please. I’m docking a star.
